According to new survey results released by Housing First Minnesota, Lennar secured its position as the Twin Cities’ largest homebuilder. The company has held the number one spot every year since 2006.
The rankings are determined by annual gross revenue reported by participating builders for for-sale housing units. In 2024, the Top 25 homebuilders collectively generated $3.6 billion in gross revenue and delivered a total of 6,580 housing units. Of those, 4,933 were single-family homes, while 1,647 were townhomes or multifamily residences.
Lennar led the pack with over $1 billion in gross revenue. The company closed 1,383 single-family homes and 808 multifamily units, totaling 2,191 homes sold in the 2024 calendar year.
“We have an incredible group of builders in the Twin Cities who are building and shaping the places we call home,” said James Vagle, CEO of Housing First Minnesota. “Their dedication to building safe, long-lasting homes makes homeownership possible for more Minnesotans.”
