Housing industry comes together to raise money for Minnesotans in need

The Housing First Minnesota Foundation hosted its 10th annual Gala on April 11 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre, drawing more than 500 attendees and raising over $500,000 to support efforts to end homelessness in Minnesota.

The event featured a botanical theme and included a dinner, live and silent auctions, and presentations highlighting the Foundation’s achievements and future goals. The Fund-A-Need segment alone raised $236,000, while auction items contributed approximately $70,000.

During the gala, several organizations and individuals were recognized for their contributions to the Foundation. Lennar received the Build Partner of the Year award; Pulte Homes of Minnesota and Jim Fuschetto of Lyman Lumber were honored with the Hearts in Housing Award; and Contract Interiors, along with Bill and Ann Burgess, received the Distinguished Service Award.

During the evening program, the Foundation announced advancements in its new supportive housing projects, including the largest in its history, Veteran Village, which aims to provide housing for veterans experiencing homelessness.
